The legend Mr. Paul Simon comes to Blossom Music Center on Tuesday, June 23rd. This is a stop that you just can't afford to pass up on. There are a couple of reasons why that's the case, but mainly because a live rendition of "You Can Call Me Al" can turn into a core memory. Truth be told, there are no guarantees that Paul Simon will be back on the road any other time.
He's been on this "A Quiet Celebration" run for a few years now. Again, it's time to bring out the truth serum. "Quiet" is not the word that you think of when you see Paul Simon on stage. Instead, it's a blend of folk, jazz, and good vibes that will be flowing from the stage. You can be a part of all that here at the Blossom Music Center if you click that "Buy Tickets" link real soon.
We've established that the tour name is a blatant lie! However, these Paul Simon live concerts over the years have gotten much more personal. Here's a little bit of what we mean by that. A lot of the songs from the legend Paul Simon, going back to his Simon & Garfunkel days, had a little "swing" to them. They were usually never the old sad song; instead, they're upbeat, and they bring people to their feet with an urge to dance. You still get that element, but unlike modern musicians, Paul Simon is not in a hurry to get through the setlist and get to the next town. He's going to be reading and willing to play what the fans want on a night that's a true trip down memory lane from start to finish.
Are you looking for 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover? If that's the case, then maybe don't bring them out to see Paul Simon, that's not one of the ways! Obviously, Graceland and the aforementioned, You Can Call Me Al are locks on the setlist. That's one of the major benefits of seeing a true music legend live. At this point, do you really think Paul Simon's going to be trying to push new music onto old-time fans? Probably not, he'll be up there singing the classics and having a ball!
At a show like this, your best bet might be to find a seat in the middle of the theater with a view of everything that's going on. From these spots, you've got a quick out back to concession stands and bathrooms. Just in case you need to refill, or you refilled a little too much. It's an event to take in like a fine wine. Small sips and enjoy, that's what Paul Simon's all about.
Paul Simon is literally a music legend, and a chance to see him live for perhaps the last time is starting at $67. What are you waiting on to click the "Buy Tickets" link?
