The music prodigy released his debut album Time In New Orleans at 17. He was still in high school but during the time, he was already breaking out in Louisiana’s local jazz scene. Jon Batiste continued to make waves but found his immense breakthrough in 2013 when his third album Social Music (with Stay Human) became a certified global hit. The album, released through Razor & Tie, went to number 1 on Billboard’s Top Jazz Album charts. Besides his solo works, Jon Batiste has also done music for films, including the feature animated project, Soul, where he won mutliple accolades, including a Grammy, an Emmy, a BAFTA, a Goldern Globe, and an Academy Award.
